How Old Is Too Old?

To wear matching outfits, as twins?
My mom and I were in Costco last week and we looked up and saw what looked like a woman looking in the mirror. Unfortunately, there was no full length piece of glass around. It was two women, in their later 50s, standing facing one another. Yes, they were twins. No doubt about it. If the matching physique, hair cut and glasses didn't give it away, their outfits did. Complete with the matching broach on their shirts. Matching purses. Matching "ahoy ships" on their matching capri pants. Matching everything.
Seriously people. It is cute when you are 5 years old, but not when you are 55. I even remember having matching pink sweaters with my best friend in 6th grade. Now that I think about it, that was probably too old. But, back then, we thought it was cool. We were 12, though. Yes, pushing it, but still... we weren't in our 50s!
The only thing that made this situation any weirder was the fact that the man behind us in line tried to hit on them and he paid for their entire grocery bill... AT COSTCO!!!
They probably thought I was stalking them because I tried really hard to get a picture of the matching duo on my cell phone. But, I couldn't get a good shot without being completely obvious. So, you'll have to just use your imaginations to picture the sight.
