Ouch!

So, I have a confession. I have a hard time getting the back of my very back teeth clean when I brush. No matter how hard I try, I just can't seem to get the toothbrush to get them as clean as the rest of them. As a result, I often resort to scratching the backs of them with my fingernail just to get any plaque off that my toothbrush missed.
Well, a few days ago, while doing this, my finger slipped and I sliced my gum with my fingernail. OHMYGOSH it hurts so badly. It is so stinkin' tender and the whole upper left side of my mouth aches because the gum is throbbing.
Any suggestions for super-duper-amazing-teeth-cleaning toothbrushes or other tools that get your back teeth just as clean as your front ones?

The Sonicare!! Hands down, it's the BEST toothbrush I've ever used! I've been using it for the last 6 yrs - the Indian sold me on it. At first I was skeptical, but then I asked my dentist about it and he ranted and raved about it so I gave in. Seriously, my teeth feel as clean (daily) as they do when you leave the dentist.

. . . but that's just MY opinion ;)

Well, the Indian always seemed to have nice teeth. So, maybe I should give it a try. I love that "just-left-the-dentist's-office-clean" feeling.

Rachael, you are awesome. lol. This is the last thing I thought I would ever read in someones blog. *grin*

Unfortunately, I have no constructive advice. I do pretty much the same as you, but usually with floss. Flossing along with slow and deliberate brush strokes back there usually work. It's hard, but it works.

Sorry. Feel better, okay.
