Don't you love getting mail??~~!! I mean real mail... not bills. Well, I just read a fellow blogger's post about receiving lots of fun things in the mail recently. Check out Lorie's post for all the details. As I read her post, I was reminded of something I believe to be important. I think it is really important to let the people you care about know how you feel about them--to tell people when you think something nice about them. Plus, I believe that one of my gifts is encouragement...often in the form of written cards or letters. So, I am going to accept Lorie's challenge to "brighten someone's mailbox". I hope to "brighten several mailboxes" in the next couple months or so. I hope to make it a fairly regular part of my life to brighten someone's day. It may be a simply, yet sincere card. If I can think of something creative or personal, it might be a little gift. Maybe a tasty treat. Who knows. I don't know what I'll do for whom. But, I do know I'll give this challenge a shot.
So, I second Lorie and challenge you, too, to "brighten someone's mailbox" sometime soon. It doesn't have to be something superfluous and lengthy. Nothing outrageous or super expensive. Just something from your heart.
Admit it. You know how fun it is to be surprised by a fun card or thoughtful little gift when you open that box at the end of your driveway. Do that for someone else. Give that fun feeling to someone else.
