Blessing #3--Technology

Okay, so I know I forgot to post yesterday. I was just super busy and didn't get a chance to do it when it crossed my mind. So, my apologies.
Anyways, another thing that I have a love-hate relationship with is Technology. I hate the fact that "they" stop making things or pressure us into thinking that we "need" bigger and better things. I don't love all of the big, expensive, unneccesary technological items that my hubby thinks we need. HOWEVER, I love the freedom, entertainment, and convenience that technology affords me. I mean, seriously people! Where would I be without email and the computer? I wouldn't be able to blog and/or keep up on other peoples' lives via their blogs. I wouldn't be able to talk on the cell phone with my friends in other parts of the city or country. I don't really picture myself sending telegrams or even taking the time to hand write letters too often. So, email is a huge blessing. I remember how excited I was when Amy and her hubby got Verizon--we realized we could then talk anytime for as long as we wanted without it costing us minutes. Without technology, the ladies from our small group wouldn't have been able to "rock out" on Rock Band last night while the men played video games on T&L's 52 inch tv.
So, yah. As much as I hate feeling forced into buying things I don't think we need, there is definitely a plus to technology and the fun and ease of communication it offers.
