Adventures in Babysitting

Every Tuesday night, my wonderful mother-in-law comes to my house and babysits Little Buddy and his amigo, Drew. My hubby and I, along with Drew's parents attend our small group on Tuesday night. (Yes, Aim, our small group is on Tuesdays.) So, last night started out no differently than any other. Drew came over, he and Little Buddy started playing, we headed off to our group and the boys were left in the capable hands of "Guh" (that's what Little Buddy calls my MIL, cuz he can't say "Grammie" yet).
When we returned home, we found the sweetest sight. "Guh" was sitting in the nursery, with both boys on her lap, singing to them and trying to rock them to sleep. They probably would have fallen asleep if we hadn't come home when we did. Once the boys realized we were home, off Guh's lap they jumped and down the hall they flew. As they explored the house, looking for whatever toys they may have forgotten to play with earlier in the evening, my MIL explained to me and Drew's mom that she had had "adventures in babysitting". She proceeded to recount bath time. Apparently, once the boys were finished splashing most of the bath water onto the bathroom floor, she got Little Buddy out of the tub and had him stand next to her, with his little hooded towel hanging on his head. Then, as she was getting Drew out of the tub, something caught her attention. Little Buddy was standing quietly, peeing on the floor! She managed to get Drew wrapped in his towel and kept Little Buddy from spraying the walls. But, when she looked back at Drew, what was he doing? Peeing on the rug! Oh my gosh. We laughed so hard as my MIL described how she tried to clean up the bathroom floor, while also keeping the boys from stepping in their little pee puddles.
Little buddies.
Such sweet faces. Such mischievous minds.
Apparently, after my MIL gives them their Tuesday night baths, they often think it is great fun to run down the hallway with their hooded towels hanging from their heads. I'm just glad they chose to christen the bathroom floor rather than the living room carpet.

Seriously! I always hope Micah will pee in the tub and I will see it happen so that I know he won't pee on the floor when I get him out. That's too funny.
