Contents of My Life...err, my purse

You know, sometimes women contend that their "purse is their life"--as if to indicate that they would be "lost" without all the crucial items carried therein.

I don't think I'd be lost without these items, but I certainly wouldn't be excited if I lost my purse.

Anyways, Julie tagged me a while back. I wasn't quite sure what being tagged was all about. But, apparently, I am supposed to confess to how messy my purse is and share with you all that is contained within it. I admit that I've taken a while to do this, but it is only because I just haven't taken the time to dump out my purse and snap a photo of it. Plus, I still use Toad's diaper bag as a purse, sometimes. So, I wasn't sure whether I should divulge all of the contents of that too, or not. Maybe that will be another post....maybe.
Here we go:

As you may or may not be able to see, my purse contains the following items:
~my wallet, which contains credit cards, receipts, my license, gift cards and a tiny bit of cash
~5 pens (cuz you never know when the first four might die)
~book of the new "forever" postage stamps
~package of "fresh ups" face blotters that I have probably had, but not used, for 10 years...seriously. I guess I could just get rid of them, ya think?
~business card for the accountant that re-did our taxes when we received a letter from the
IRS a year and a half ago telling us that we owed them $6000. Fortunately, it was all a
mistake and we ended up getting $75 back...just enough to cover the cost of the accountant re-
doing the taxes
~Dove dark chocolate with almonds candy that I took from my in-law's candy dish. Thanks

~wrapper from one of my favorite candies--Reisens--Yum!
~bank deposit receipt
~scrap paper with a list of questions I wrote down to ask the doctor at Toad's last visit...with the
answers written in my hubby's handwriting
~my Balmy Nights lip balm from Victoria's Secret... Love It!! Put it on before you go to bed and
it is still on your lips in the morning. Love it!!! Love it!! Love it!
~my little purple pill holder, with an assortment of ailment remedies
~pack of Trident original flavor gum
~a sample pack of Flexeril muscle relaxant pills that the doctor gave me a few years ago when I
popped my rib out of place (still not sure how I displaced my rib)
~1/2 a tithing envelope with the phone name, phone number and email address of a couple that
was in our birthing class. We'd seen them at church and thought they looked familiar, but
didn't realize why until their name was announced during baby dedication last month.
~3 Cheerios coupons... cuz the boy loves him some "chee-wee-os"
~2 coupons for Cover Girl make-up... which have since been thrown away because I got on the band wagon with Colleen and Jana and ordered some new mineral make-up.
~16 bobby pins...lurking at the bottom of my purse
~1/2 a toothpick...not sure what happened to the other 1/2
~94 cents in random change, also at the bottom of my purse
~my friend Liz's phone number, which she wrote on a piece of blue paper at Amy's baby shower

So, there ya have it. My purse contents, condensed into a list! Shocking! Me? Make a LIST??!! No way!!! You may notice that some fairly normal "purse items" are missing. My keys hang on a key rack by the door and my phone and bluetooth were on the counter charging when I took this picture. And, I am not sure why, but for some reason, I don't have a nail file in my purse. I always have a nail file! I'll have to go fix that.
