Note from my son

On Sunday, my first "official" Mother's Day, I received a card from Toad (and pink roses, too). For such a little guy, I'm impressed that he has saved enough allowance money to purchase roses. But, I'm proud that he already knows how to treat a lady.
Anyways, in my card was a note. It was in my husband's handwriting, so I assume that Toad dictated it to him, since Toad can't quite write yet. Here are some excerpts from what it said:
"Dear Mommy!
I just wanted to thank you for how great you take care of me. ... My favorite time is when I wake up in the morning and I get to play with you. ... I also enjoy when I get to take a bath. I don't know if you noticed, but when I splash, I try to get you all wet.
Daddy told me that he is so happy that you spend your day with me. It makes him feel very good. He says that you are a great mom. I have to agree about that. ...
I feel so loved and so happy when I am with you. I don't understand why you and Daddy leave me with all of those silly babies on Sundays, but anyways, I am so much happier when I get to see you again. ...
I wish you the best day in the world. I hope you spend a lot of it with me.
I love you with all of my little heart!"

That just warmed my heart. That meant more to me than the roses. And, having the privilege of holding my sweet boy in my arms means more to me than even his note did.
Whether you have been a mother for many years or you've just recently joined the world of motherhood, I wish all of you amazing women tremendous blessings and pray you feel truly appreciated on a regular basis... not just on Mother's Day.
